The Muscadel River Soap Company originated in the Klein Karoo, next to the Gamka River in the foothills of the famous Swartberg Mountains. The unique vegetation composition along the Gamka River is known as the Muscadel River vegetation type (which also gets its name from the famous grape used to make port) and is considered an endangered veld type. Many of the ingredients of my handcrafted soap are sourced locally, including the olive oil and some of the essential oils. The water used in the process is pure rainwater.
